Beach Themed Wedding Centerpieces That Won't Cost A Fortune
Gorgeous and Inexpensive Ideas
Beach themed wedding centerpieces are great if you are having your wedding on the beach or you could be thousands of miles away but just love that beach feel.
These centerpiece ideas are easy for you to make yourself. Shells are a great starting point when you are designing your centerpiece. Use them to line the base of a vase, then fill with water and flowers or have floating candles on the top.
Scatter the shells on the table to create a more informal centerpiece and then have tealights dotted through the shells. You can find lots of cheap glass or beach themed votive holders that would add some extra sparkle.
As well as shells, sand is a big part of a beach! If you live too far away to collect some for free then look at buying a small bag of children's play sand. Use the sand for pillar candles to be secured in and add some exotic flowers if yours is a tropical beach theme. Plus the flowers are a great way to add color to the centerpiece.Pebbles also add a beautiful natural look to a centerpiece and they can be more contemporary than shells. Use them the same way as before with the shells.
Lots of people love sea glass, the glass that has been smoothed by the sea and the sand, have a look for some next time you are at your favorite beach. The opaque colors of green, blue and white could be added to your beach centerpiece with either glass pebbles or candles.
Lanterns are a great way to bulk up a centerpiece, they are a good focal point that you can add the rest of your decorations around. Fill a hurricane lamp partly with sand and pebbles then place your candle into the middle. You can find cheap lanterns at Ebay, IKEA and many dollar stores.
For an informal, relaxed beach wedding you could have a sandcastle bucket filled with goodies!
