Centerpiece Candy
Make Great Edible Centerpieces
Centerpiece candy is great for so many centerpiece occasions, here are lots of ideas on how to make a great centerpiece.
One of the best bits about candy, apart from the fact that it is yummy is that you can find candy in all sorts of colors and designs. For a sophisticated candy display find the candy that matches with your color scheme and then display it in glass jars or even vases. To make the centerpiece look even more stunning use jars that are different heights, you can also decorate the jars with ribbons and embellishments. Arrange the containers in the middle of the table to create your candy centerpiece.
Candy is also a fantastic choice for a child's party - you may want to keep an eye on how much they eat! Choose lots of fun colors to make a very eye-catching display. Instead of glass containers you may want to use plastic or baskets as these are safer when children are diving for the candy.
You can also have a candy centerpiece at landmark birthdays and anniversaries. We all have our favorite candy from when we were a child and just think of the memories that a centerpiece made from candy of the sixties, seventies or eighties would bring. At most holidays there are seasonal candy; Easter you have Easter eggs, Christmas you have candy canes, and Halloween has scarey candy. You can use these to make an appropriate candy centerpiece. Use glass containers to display your candy and make sure you keep an eye on who goes near!
Another way to display your centerpiece candy is to have the candy hanging from branches, all you will need is a pot, some air drying clay and a branch that looks tree like! You can spray the branch with silver paint or a color that matches your theme and secure it in the pot with the clay. When the clay is dry you can tie the candy to the branches, just make sure you don't tie them too tight otherwise the whole centerpiece may fall over if you have too many excited guests!
Candy buffets are another way to have candy at your party, and they are great for favors for your guests. If you have a color theme then you can normally find candy that will match. Keep the costs down by buying your candy wholesale at an online store and then you could make some yourself too. Homemade candy is most likely to be chocolate or cookies and these look lovely on a candy buffet. Display all of your candy with little paper bags and scoops for your guests so they can help themselves. This is a great treat for the journey home or even as a fun dessert!
