It would be an idea to keep some of your budget back so you can add extra decorations - maybe lace or ribbon around the jars, but it is not essential as you could use rose petals or ivy as the table decorations.

If you want to make a table centerpiece with flowers then you will need to spend your money on the flowers unless you have a green fingered relative or friend that can grow them for you. Before you buy your flowers find all of your vases or containers that you are going to use so you buy your flowers to fit with them. A jam jar with one hydrangea and a ribbon tied around it looks beautiful, if your table is round then look at grouping a few jars together and add different height jars to bring more interest to your centerpiece.

If your centerpiece has a very obvious theme then look at items from the theme that you could use as your base. A football themed party could have a football helmet as the centerpiece with a cluster of balloons tied to it. Or a birthday dinner could have the birthday cake as center stage.
