Party table centerpieces are needed for most parties, they don't have to be big and grand but you will want your table to look good whether it is for a birthday, graduation, retirement or just because you fancied having a party!
Start by thinking of your theme and think if you can incorporate that into your design.
A birthday can easily have
balloon centerpieces
or you could have framed photos through the years or a beautifully wrapped gift or even the birthday cake as the centerpiece. It seems silly to go to so much effort for the cake and it only gets seen when the candles get blown out.
You can also look at making your own birthday centerpiece with lots of sparkle and glitter sticks that you can find from most craft stores. Take a look at the video on how to make your own.
For a graduation you can use congratulations balloons, framed photos from their time at college or school, a great graduation cake, or the college mascot, scarf and any souvenirs from their time studying!
These ideas can be repeated for any party that you are having and the beauty is that they cost very little as you already have all of these things available at home, it just may take a bit of digging to find them!
If your party has a theme, for example seventies or a black and white ball then use this as the starting point for your party table centerpieces.
Vintage or decade parties will need lots of decorations to get everyone in the mood, it helps if your guests have got into the spirit and come in fancy dress! Try and find appropriate decorations in local thrift stores, these decorations could be album covers, annuals, fabric and famous characters from the time. Quite often you or your friends will have some of these already which you could use as your centerpiece.
Color themed parties are fairly straight forward. Use thrift store colored glass as vases for flowers and candles or have a glass bowl filled with appropriate colored Christmas baubles.
Flower centerpieces
are perfect if you can fit them within your color scheme and they are not always expensive.
