Picnic Table Decorations On A Budget
Picnic table decorations sounds a bit mad doesn't it? Most picnics are relaxed and chilled where you sit on your picnic blanket and enjoy a few sandwiches in the sunshine. But if you are celebrating or enjoying one of those great outdoor concerts then you might want to push the boat out and wow your guests with some stunning displays. The first thing to note when you plan your decorations for your picnic is that they have to be easily transportable and fairly robust and don't forget your tablecloth! Simple table decorations would be oranges dotted along the middle of the table with glass votives between them or a vase filled with flowers.
If you are travelling to your picnic and you want to have flowers on the table look at having a plant rather than cut flowers in a vase as it will be easier to move.Candles are great if your picnic is going to go through into the evening as you will be able to stay out longer if you can see what you are doing! You could take a leaf from the Victorian age and have an elaborate candelabra in the center of your table or have a more modern look with floating candles or pillar candles.
If your picnic is more relaxed then you could use your picnic hamper as the centerpiece and artfully display all of the goodies for your guests to enjoy. If your celebrations have a theme then tie your table decorations into that. 4th July picnic decorations would be in red, white and blue, a halloween picnic would have to have a pumpkin. Just because you are outdoors it doesn't mean you can't use ideas that you would use if you were having your party indoors. Enjoy your picnic!
