Simple Christmas Centerpiece Ideas
Creating a simple Christmas centerpiece is not that difficult, the main thing to remember is that you need to be able to move the centerpiece around. No point creating the most amazing centerpiece if it has to stay in one place for the holiday season because stuff happens, games need to be played and where else will you do all of that gift wrapping?
Since you need to be able to move your decoration it needs to have a base that you can do it with. Cake stands, platters, vases, even big plates will do. If you don't have anything that you think would look good then have a hunt at car boot sales and thrift stores, glass and cake stands always seem to be on the shelves!
The next thing is to choose your color scheme and then find everything you can in that color that you have lying around the house. Christmas baubles that you can no longer hang, cones, mini gift boxes and anyother Christmas decorations. If you can't find any bits at home then look to nature and gather holly and ivy - it sounds a bit corny but they look great together. Gift bows also work well for this centerpiece. Now comes the tricky bit ... pile up the decorations in the bowl or vase or cake stand, add some colored ribbon and a bit of sparkle and your Christmas centerpiece is complete.
